SAFETY MEASURES COVID 19 – KOKSTAD COLLEGE – LEARNERS
1 Do NOT come to school if you have a FEVER or if you are unwell.
2 No mask – No entry
3 Masks must be worn at all times
4 All persons must adhere to 1,5m SOCIAL DISTANCING at all times
5 Sanitize upon entering the school building and every venue within the building.
6 Wash hands with soap and running water before leaving the bathroom.
7 Keep windows and doors open whenever possible. (This assists with ventilation and minimizes contact with door handles)
8 Do NOT touch any surfaces unnecessarily
9 Do NOT share stationary, books, edibles (food, sweets etc) water bottles, clothes etc
10 NO visitors are allowed on the premises unless: a prior appointment is made, to pay
school fees, to collect learning materials or when it is required by the school that Parents / Guardians attend a scheduled meeting.
11 ALL persons entering the premises, including staff, learners, and visitors are required to have their temperature measured and to fill in the daily register.
SAFETY AND RISK REDUCTION
1 Avoid crowding together, especially in bathrooms (Max 5 per bathroom) remember Social Distancing must be adhered to at all times!
2 Cleaning staff will disinfect teaching venues after every use and all other venues that were occupied, at the end of every day.
3. Sanitizer will be made available at the entrance of every venue and it is recommended (if at all possible) that each individual have their own sanitizer to sanitize whenever they feel the need to.
3 During break-times learners must remain on the Hockey field and Pavilion, observing
SOCIAL DISTANCING at all times. This will be monitored by a team of educators. Please avoid gatherings at all times.
4 Learners will queue in class groups, as indicated, in front of the foyer at the Hall entrance, to be screened.
5 NOBODY may enter the building before completing the register and screening process.
6 An Isolation room (AT classroom) is provided as a precautionary measure when a person is found to have an elevated temperature, to be displaying symptoms of illness or is feeling unwell.
